What I was thinking when I first met Jay Gatsby ...

The first time I met Gatsby was in Louisville where Jay was stationed at Camp Taylor being a young officer about to get shipped off during World War 1. At this camp I was one of the more popular girls, all of the Camp Taylor boys wanted to know me. I was their golden girl. So that night, when some Camp Taylors came to visit me, Mr. Jay Gatsby joined along too. These officers and I went back to my luxurious house, Gatsby was so amazed by all of my wealth. Gatsby and I had  a short love affair which only lasted about a month before he had to leave for the war. Although this seemed like a forever goodbye it wasn't. After 5 years of being separated, we met again in West Egg where Gatsby bought a huge mansion right across from my home in which I lived with my husband, Tom Buchanan. I reunited with Jay for tea at his mansion which was arranged by my cousin Nick. I felt like Tom and Jay fought over me for my love, but I always loved Jay Gatsby. Gatsby was obsessed with to things me and his wealth. He promised that he didn't ever want to leave, and if he did it'd be death for him.
